Twins Daily handed out awards for the first half of the Twins’ season. Below are the winners, but click here for explanations on each of the picks.

MVP: Joe Mauer
Pitcher of the Year: Glen Perkins
Relief Pitcher of the Year: Glen Perkins
Rookie of the Year: Oswaldo Arcia

Meanwhile, all eyes are on the July 31st non-waiver trade deadline. The Pioneer Press takes a look at what the Twins get in return if they trade Justin Morneau and/or Perkins.

Jim Bowden of ESPN believes Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh and the Yankees are the top suitors for Morneau.

The Twins start the second half of the season with a three-game home series against the Indians starting Friday night.
