Good thing Aaron Hicks is hitting the ball a little better, because Darrin Mastroianni’s return from injury has been delayed.
The Pioneer Press reports that Mastroianni will remain in a walking boot for another week to help his injured left ankle heal. Once the walking boot is removed, he’ll likely need time to strengthen his ankle back into playing shape.
He’s been on the disabled list since April 16. The injury was caused when he fouled a ball off his ankle during spring training.
