The Twins fell 6-1 to the Royals on Sunday, splitting the four-game series with Kansas City.
Starting pitcher Michael Pineda was roughed up and tagged for 5 runs in 5 innings, allowing 8 hits including a three-run home run to Hunter Dozier.
Eddie Rosario smacked his 20th home run of the season in the loss and recent call up Luis Arraez had a four-hit game, raising his batting average to .421 in 15 games played this season.

Minnesota loaded the bases and had the tying-run at the plate in the top of the seventh but Rosario grounded out to end the threat.
With the loss the Twins fall to 50-27 on the season and will open a three-game series against the Tampa Rays at Target Field on Tuesday.
On a positive note, Minnesota had four players advance in the next round of All-Star Voting, which will determine this year’s starters in the Midsummer Classic.
