Scott Diamond is schedule to make his regular season debut on April 12 against the New York Mets, according to the Pioneer Press.
Diamond has been on the disabled list since having bone chips removed from his pitching elbow during the offseason.
On Thursday, he threw 65 pitches against minor league hitters. Instead of traveling to Rochester, New York to face AAA hitters, Diamond will remain in Florida to continue building arm strength in warmer weather.
