Another record has fallen in the ridiculous season the Minnesota Twins are having.
Friday night saw the Twins score their 226th home run, the most the team has ever scored in a season – what’s more, there are still 46 games to go.
The previous record of 225 had stood for 56 years, having been set in 1963.
Eddie Rosario hit the landmark home run with a smash in the 6th, after Jason Castro had earlier equalled the Twins’ record in the 5th.
Unfortunately, Rosario’s single homer only brought the score back to 6-2 against the Indians, who will move to having an equal record with the Twins if they hang on to win.
The next home run record in the Twins’ sights will be the 267 hit by the Yankees in 2018, which is the most in a single season hit by any MLB team.
