Monday’s game between the Minnesota Twins and Oakland Athletics has been postponed as the Twins continue contact tracing and testing after multiple members of the organization tested positive for COVID-19.
The final two games of the Twins’ series with the Los Angeles Angels were postponed when outfielder Kyle Garlick, one other player and a staff member tested positive for the virus on Saturday.
The Twins have had more issues with the virus in the past week as shortstop Andrelton Simmons tested positive last Tuesday and Rocco Baldelli had a false positive test last Thursday.
Pending further test results, the Twins and Athletics are scheduled to begin their three-game series in Oakland with a doubleheader on Tuesday.
