The Minnesota Twins have finalized the Justin Morneau trade with Pittsburgh.
The Twins acquired right-hander Duke Welker from Pittsburgh as the player to be named later in the trade.
Fox Sports Network reports, that Welker, 27, made his major league debut season with the Pirates, during the season. He appeared in just two games.
Welker is a 6-foot-7-right hander spent most of the season with Triple-A Indianapolis as a reliever.
The Twins sent Morneau to Pittsburgh at the end of August and initially acquired outfielder Alex Presley as the first part of the deal. Both Welker and Presley have major league experience.
The Associated Press reports, that Welker was 3-4 at Indianapolis, with a 3.57 ERA in 48 appearances.
He was drafted by the Pirates in the second round of the 2007 draft.
