Timberwolves rookie Karl-Anthony Towns continues to pile up the awards with his latest – and maybe most impressive – being given to him on Monday.
Towns became the first rookie, regardless of conference, to win an NBA Player of the Week award since Michael Carter-Williams won it in the Eastern Conference in 2013-14.

The 20-year-old helped the Wolves go 3-0 with wins over the now 72-win Warriors and the Portland Trail Blazers, where Towns won the game on a last-second turnaround jumper.
He averaged 21.3 points, 10.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game for the week.
In addition to winning this award, Towns has won the Western Conference Rookie of the Month award in every month this season.
