After nine seasons with the Twins, Torii Hunter officially left Minnesota when he signed with the Los Angeles Angels on Nov. 22, 2007.
After 12 seasons with the Timberwolves, Kevin Garnett officially left Minnesota when he was traded to the Boston Celtics on July 31, 2007.
Hunter won’t make his Twins regular season re-debut until April 6. Garnett will step on the Target Center floor wearing a No. 21 Wolves uniform for the first time in nearly eight years Wednesday night against the Washington Wizards.
WCCO’s Mark Rosen caught up with Hunter, who delivered a personal message to KG.
“I’m glad to see him back. I’ve always had respect for you man, and Minnesota you know that’s our love, that’s where we grew up,” Hunter said. “It’s nice to see both of us come back where our true love is, and KG – congratulations baby. I’ll see you at Seven (Steakhouse).”

Garnett was charming as ever during a press conference on Tuesday, where he described his return to Minnesota as coming “full circle.”
The #MNTwins should have KG throw out a first pitch at Target Field this year — with Torii Hunter catching it.
