Timberwolves point guard and fan favorite Ricky Rubio will make his season debut tonight at Target Center against the Dallas Mavericks.
After more than nine months of recovering from a major surgery to repair a torn ACL and LCL, Rubio has been anxious to play with his team.
“I’m excited to get back on the floor with my teammates and play in front of the best fans in the NBA at Target Center,” Rubio said in a news release Saturday.
Coach Rick Adelman tells the Star Tribune that he’s not putting any expectations on Rubio and he’ll give the 22-year-old time to adjust getting back on the court.
The Wolves did not give an update on Kevin Love who suffered a contusion in his thumb of his right hand at the end of last night’s 113-102 win over New Orleans.
