The injury bug that has decimated the Timberwolves this season has claimed another victim.
The team announced that center Gorgui Dieng will not play Monday night against Utah. The Pioneer Press reports that Dieng is being treated for concussion-like symptoms after he played just nine minutes of Sunday’s 110-88 loss to New Orleans.
The injury is another setback to the Wolves, who are already thin upfront thanks to injuries to both Kevin Garnett and Nikola Pekovic.
Dieng has played in all 73 Wolves games this season, including 49 starts. The second-year center is averaging 9.7 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game.
Gorgui Dieng (concussion-like symptoms) is out tonight vs. Jazz. It's the 1st game of his career he'll miss because of injury.

Dieng was added to the injury report seemingly minutes after the Wolves got Robbie Hummel and Anthony Bennett back. Hummel missed 29 games because of a broken right hand; Bennett has missed 18 games in a row because of a sprained ankle.
Bennett is listed as probable for Monday’s game against Utah, but six other Timberwolves are not so fortunate.
Kevin Martin is questionable with a strained hamstring, Garnett (sore knee) and Ricky Rubio (sore ankle) are doubtful, Pekovic (sore ankle), Gary Neal (sprained left ankle) and Shabazz Muhammad (finger surgery) are out.
