The Timberwolves selected Texas Tech guard Jarrett Culver with the sixth overall pick the 2019 NBA Draft.
Culver played two seasons with the Red Raiders, where he averaged 18.5 points on 46 percent shooting in his sophomore season. The Six-foot-six forward isn’t know for shot from behind the arc, as he hit just 30 percent from three-point land but he is known for his defense
Minnesota acquired the No. 6 pick after making a pre-draft trade with the Phoenix Suns for Wolves forward Dario Saric and Minnesota’s 11th overall selection.
Both Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN and Jake Fischer of Sports Illustrated reported Minnesota was shopping Andrew Wiggins too.
Minnesota is engaged in multiple conversations on the No. 6 pick acquired in the deal with Phoenix, league sources tell ESPN.

Culver is the Wolves’ highest picks since taking Kris Dunn with the fitth overall pick in 2016. He’s also the first draft pick under new president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas.
Some Minnesota fans might’ve seen Culver and Texas Tech at the Final 4 last April which was played at U.S. Stadium.
