Oregon State’s unbelievable run in the College World Series continued Wednesday night with some spine-tingling drama in the ninth inning against Arkansas.
Arkansas was one out away from winning the national championship, but a foul pop that dropped between three Razorbacks gave Oregon State life, and the at-bat turned into an RBI single that tied the score 3-3.
Then, Trevor Larnach, the power-hitting outfielder the Twins selected 20th overall in this month’s MLB Draft, launched a two-run homer to put the Beavers up 5-3.

“I never a had a doubt. Never was worried. When the time came we’d come through,” Larnach told ESPN after the game.
Larnach and Oregon State, who knocked the Gophers out in the NCAA Super Regionals, will play Arkansas for a decisive Game 3 on Thursday night.
