The injury bug has bitten the Vikings at the wrong time and it’ll force them to face the Cowboys on the road minus at least two key starters.
Already ruled out are wide receiver Adam Thielen and nose tackle Linval Joseph, while starting cornerback Trae Waynes is questionable.
While Thielen has been battling the same hamstring injury the last four weeks, Joseph’s injury comes after he was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice, only to be held out of practice Thursday and Friday with what the team is calling a knee injury.
The Star Tribune reports that Joseph was seen limping in the locker room on Thursday. The severity of his knee injury is unclear.
Waynes is fighting an ankle injury and with the Vikings listing him as questionable for the ankle injury and something “not injury related.”
Defensive end Stephen Weatherly is also questionable with a groin injury.
Dallas enters the game mostly healthy, with its main concern being the health of wide receiver Amari Cooper, who was limited in Friday’s practice with a knee injury. Cooper is listed as questionable, although reports Thursday suggested he’s likely going to play.
The Vikings and Cowboys kick off Sunday at 7:20 p.m. in Dallas.
