That’s right, Target Center is getting new seats. Wolves/Lynx owner Glen Taylor announced Tuesday that he’s forking over an additional $9-$12 million to enhance the fan experience inside the arena, namely making your butt more comfortable with new seats.
Additionally, the money will pay for new railings for the lower bowl, better Wi-Fi, more signage and a new skyway off the back of the arena. The expected final price tag for the renovations is up to $138-$141 million.
“These additions will give the building greater technological capabilities, allow fans to enter and exit the building with more ease, and provide a more comfortable experience for fans visiting Target Center,” Taylor said in a statement.
The new-look Target Center will be ready for the start of the 2017 Timberwolves season.
