For the second straight game, the U.S. men’s basketball was tested to the final minute. With 3.1 seconds left, Serbia’s Bogdan Bogdanovic had a wide open look to win the game but missed the shot giving the U.S. a 94-91 win.

The U.S. got off to a decent start leading by 12 points after the first quarter and even led by 9 heading into the final quarter. Serbia eventually made it a one possession game and even outscored the U.S. 29-22 in the fourth quarter.
Serbia took advantage of the United States’ poor defense all game, shooting 51 percent from the floor in their loss. The U.S. shot a lesser 49 percent in the win.
No one stood out offensively for the U.S. but six players were in double figures with Kyrie Irving scoring a team-high 15 points.
The U.S. improved to 4-0 in Rio and are assured a spot in the quarterfinals. Its final game of group play will be this Sunday against France.
