The holidays are here and for the Twins, they have a big list for Santa. It’s tradition for free agent shopping to be part of the holidays and the Twins are a baseball team looking to spend for new players and get good deals in trades.
The most rumored Twins player being shopped is second baseman Brian Dozier. Dozier went on a power surge in 2016 breaking Alfonso Soriano’s 2002 American League record for home runs by a primary second baseman in a single season. Dozier hit 42 homers, had 99 RBIs and is a Twins fan favorite.
Baseball watchers speculate that the Twins’ asking price for Dozier might be too high, according to ESPN and others.
#mntwins continue to aim high in Dozier trade talks. Told at least one club they'd "have to be wowed" to deal 42-homer team MVP.

Dozier just recently returned from an MLB Far East trip representing the Twins.

Pitching is at the top of the Twins shopping list. Rumored to be one of the arms on the Twins’ radar is Justin Masterson. The former Cleveland right hander is healthy again and has a connection to Twins new baseball czar Derek Falvey.
Is there mutual interest between #mntwins and buy-low RHP Justin Masterson? "Possibly," person w/direct knowledge tells me.

His best season came in 2013 when he went 14-10 with a 3.45 ERA and was an All-Star with the Indians. He struck out 195 hitters for a career best 9.1 strikeouts per nine innings.
Justin masterson is good buy-low SP candidate. Had shoulder cleanup, expected to finally be 100 pct for 2016. Still only 30
