Jason Castro’s season is over.
The Twins announced the shocking news about 90 minutes before they were scheduled to play the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday.
Castro was supposed to miss 4-6 weeks with a slight meniscus tear in his knee, but the Twins say surgeons found more damage than they expected and wound up performing a full meniscus repair.
