It’s always a big game anytime the Minnesota Wild meet up with the Dallas Stars. Saturday night at the Xcel Energy Center the Wild beat the Stars 5-1.
The Wild took control early as they built a 4-0 lead on goals by four different skaters. Justin Fontaine got the Wild on the board first with a goal 12 seconds into the game. Matt Cooke assisted, moments later he slipped a puck into the net and the Wild held at 2-0 lead at the end of the first.
The Wild made it 3-0 in the second on a goal from Matthew Dumba. Nino Niederreiter then made it 4-0, before Dallas could get on the board.
