Edmonton goaltender Ben Scrivens stopped 33 shots and the Oilers beat the Minnesota Wild 2-1, Tuesday night at the Xcel Energy Center.
A pair of goals from Edmonton’s Benoit Pouliot was all the Oilers would need, as Scrivens took care of the rest to pick up his second road win of the season.
It was only the fourth time since 2007 that Edmonton left St. Paul with a win.
#mnwild, 11-2-1 in last 14 now, lets 2 points slip away. #oilers win 5th game vs. the West in 37 games. Scrivens 33 saves. Still in top-8.

Pouliot, a former first round draft pick of the Wild, put the Oilers on top in the first with his 12th goal of the season. He was assisted by Jordan Eberle and Oscar Klefbom.
After Minnesota evened the score on a goal from Thomas Vanek, Pouliot responded just 32 seconds later to give Edmonton the lead.
Wild goaltender Devan Dubnyk stopped 16-of-18, but it wasn’t enough.
