The Minnesota Timberwolves got big nights from Karl-Anthony Towns and Malik Beasley, but a career night from Domantas Sabonis propelled the Indiana Pacers to a 134-128 win on Wednesday night.
The Timberwolves controlled the game early thanks to the play of their frontcourt. While Karl-Anthony Towns did his usual damage putting up 30 points and 10 rebounds, Naz Reid contributed coming off the bench with 18 points and nine rebounds.

With the Wolves doing damage in the paint, the Wolves were able to dial it up from deep. Malik Beasley was out of the starting lineup after arriving late to shootaround but made up for lost time scoring 32 points off the bench.
As the Timberwolves were fueled by their reserves, they took a 73-69 lead into the half. Minnesota built a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter but the Pacers answered to make it a game in the fourth quarter using an 11-2 run to take the lead midway through the fourth quarter.
Both teams went back and forth from there as Anthony Edwards saw his game-winning attempt at the buzzer rim out to force overtime. The Pacers opened the extra frame with a 7-2 run.
A slam dunk by Beasley cut the lead down to three points but Malcom Brogdon hit a 3-pointer with 9.1 seconds remaining. With Sabonis posting a triple-double (36 points, 17 rebounds, 10 assists), the Pacers were able to escape Target Center with an overtime victory.
The Timberwolves fall to 7-22 on the season with the loss and will host the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.
