MINNEAPOLIS — Terry Ryan cut to the chase.
The Twins general manager told the media today it’s time to leave 2012 behind.
“We’ve got some things here that we’re proud of,” he said. “Now it’s time to put some wins on the board.”
How many?
While he wouldn’t put a number on it, Ryan said it’s time to start playing meaningful games in September.
“I don’t want to fool the fan base here. We have a long way to get their confidence back. But like the Orioles and the A’s last year, you can turn it around quickly. We need that to happen here.”
Minnesota was 66-96 last year, posting their second-consecutive 90-loss season.
