With the Twins down 3-1 with one in the bottom of the seventh and runners on first and second, Eddie Roasrio came off the bench for Jake Cave.
With his Superman cape on, Rosario parked a baseball to the right-field bleachers on the first pitch he saw, helping Minnesota to a 6-3 win over the Oakland Athletics.

For Rosario, it’s his third pinch-hit home run of his career – and he’s now up to 21 bombs on the year. It was also Minnesota’s first pinch-hit homer of the season.
Minnesota got on the board first in the bottom of the third when Miguel Sano scored on a wild pitch.
After tying things up in the top of the fourth, the Athletics padded their lead in the sixth when Jurickson Profar slugged a two-run home run.
But then Rosario struck, with Mitch Garver and C.J. Cron then giving their team some insurance in the eighth inning with solo home runs.

Kyle Gibson started for Minnesota and pitched seven innings, allowing three runs on six hits and struck out seven batters.
Taylor Rogers entered the game in the eighth inning, picking up the six-out save. For Rogers, it was his 14th save of the season.
With the win the Twins improve to 59-37 on the season and return to action on Friday evening for game two of their series with the Athletics. Jake Odorizzi starts on the mound for Minnesota.
