This would be kind of an impressive feat for Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio.
After one day of March Madness college basketball action, Rubio tweeted he had a “perfect bracket so far.”
There were 16 games Thursday, the most significant upsets being #12 Little Rock over #5 Purdue, #11 Gonzaga over #6 Seton Hall, and #12 Yale over #5 Baylor. (There were a few 9-seeds topping 8-seeds too).
Met with skepticism, a few minutes later Rubio sent out a photo of the bracket.

Update: The Timberwolves PR team shared this nugget on Twitter:
Rubio on his perfect bracket (16/16): "Luck." Said he knows a lot of 12 seeds beat 5 seeds & he likes Arkansas Little Rock for some reason.

Update 2: And Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune notes the fairy tale has ended.
Blog update: Syracuse beat Dayton today so Ricky's bracket is perfect no more

If he’s telling the truth, Rubio – who did not play college basketball of course – is in rare company.
The Washington Post says only about 0.1 percent of all brackets on ESPN.com and Yahoo.com picked the opening day of the tournament correctly.
That’s 14,525 perfect brackets – out of the 13 million that have been filled out, ESPN’s Darren Rovell tweeted.
14,525: # of brackets on https://t.co/fTASB2ZYtL, out of 13 million, that are still perfect after Day 1 of NCAA Tournament
