Multiple media reports are indicating the Minnesota Timberwolves are willing to trade veteran point guard Mo Williams for the right price.
Williams has provided a veteran presence at the point guard position this season in Ricky Rubio’s absence, but ESPN’s Marc Stein reported Friday there’s a belief around the league Minnesota would be willing to move him.

Williams was a late scratch from Minnesota’s Wednesday night victory over Boston, he was away from the team for personal reasons. Just two weeks ago though, he scored a career-high 52 points, which at the time was also the NBA season high.

According to 1500 ESPN, Williams’ play has allowed the Wolves to bring rookie Zach LaVine off the bench.
While trade speculation has surrounded several Timberwolves veterans, following their 8-37 start, the Associated Press’ Jon Krawczynski doesn’t believe the team is in a rush to move any of them.

There are two reasons Williams could be different.
First, the Timberwolves signed Lorenzo Brown out of the D-League this week. He played well on Wednesday night with a career high 11 points, three assists and a turnover.
The bigger factor though might be Ricky Rubio’s health. On Sunday Wolves coach Flip Saunders told reporters he hoped to have both Kevin Martin – who returned on Wednesday – and Rubio on the floor within a week.
If Rubio is close to returning, the Wolves may be willing to deal Williams.
