Multiple media reports indicate the Minnesota Vikings have agreed to a contract with running back Matt Asiata.
Asiata, 27, was a restricted free agent. A source tells ESPN’s Ben Goessling Asiata will sign the contract on Tuesday.

Asiata is coming off his best year in a Vikings uniform. He started nine of the 15 games Adrian Peterson missed, rushing for 570 yards and a team-high nine touchdowns. In addition, he caught 44 passes for 312 yards and a touchdown.
Asiata earned $570,000 on his restricted free agent contract tender last season. According to the Star Tribune, his deal with the Vikings is incentive-laden and will give him a chance to earn more this season if he plays a significant role in the Vikings offense.
Terms not immediately available on Asiata's contract. But it has a lot of incentives and is for less than $1 million.

Peterson’s status for 2015 is unknown. He is under contract with the Vikings, but last month told ESPN he remains uneasy about returning to Minnesota.
Asiata started his Vikings career as a fullback. He has rushed for 745 yards and 12 touchdowns, while averaging 3.5 yards per carry during three seasons on the team’s active roster.
