It looks like Laquon Treadwell’s tenure in Minnesota is finally coming to an end.
NFL insider Ian Rapport reported on Saturday morning that the Vikings are “moving on” from the wide receiver, whether it’s via trade or an outright release.
The #Vikings are moving on from former first-round pick Laquon Treadwell, source said. They will work to trade him, but if no trade, he’ll be released.

ESPN’s Courtney Cronin followed up, saying Treadewell will be released by 3 p.m. if the Vikings aren’t able to find a trade partner.
I can confirm that Laquon Treadwell will be released by 3 pm if the Vikings aren't able to move him before then. Minnesota has tried to move the 1st rounder for more than a year now. I remember sitting here last cut-down day as a trade w/ an AFC East team never came to fruition.

The former first-round pick from the 2016 NFL Draft secured just 56 catches (35 in 2018) in his three seasons with the Vikings.
With Treadwell being cut, Brandon Zylstra or Dillion Mitchell could end up making the 53-man roster to round out the wide receiving core.
