But how much game does Brown have? Apparently more than he had when the Wolves selected him out of N.C. State in the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft. Brown was released before ever playing for Minnesota. 1500 ESPN notes that Brown was picked up by the 76ers, where he averaged only 2.5 points per game in 26 appearances.
Brown has made all kinds of statistical gains playing for the Grand Rapids Drive (Detroit Pistons) in the NBA Developmental League. He’s averaging 16.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game this season.
Darren Wolfson tweeted that he would have rather seen the Wolves give former St. Cloud Tech High School and South Dakota State star Nate Wolters, who was cut by the Bucks last week, a chance.

Canis Hoopus notes that Brown, if signed by the Wolves, would likely take the roster spot currently held by center Mirosla Raduljica, whose second 10-day contract with the team expires on Wednesday.
With Nikola Pekovic back from injury and Ricky Rubio still rehabbing his injured ankle/foot, Minnesota has a bigger need at point guard. Mo Williams and Zach LaVine have been splitting time at the position with Rubio out.
For Raduljica, if his time in Minnesota really is over… it was a nice run.
