NBA reporter Sam Amico has his eyes and ears on a possible trade between the Timberwolves and Cavaliers.
Amico reports that Minnesota has interest in Iman Shumpert, a wing player who could help relieve the stress in Minnesota’s rotation caused by Zach LaVine’s season-ending ACL injury.
That said, Amico – literally yesterday – tweeted that Shumpert probably isn’t getting traded by Cleveland.
#Cavs have had some talks with Pelicans and are listening to offers for Iman Shumpert, per ESPN. Moving Shump "not likely" tho, per source.

Shumpert is averaging just over 7 points while shooting 40.3% in 25 minutes a game off the bench.
Cleveland is likely searching for another ball handler. Minnesota has three point guards on the roster: Ricky Rubio, Kris Dunn and Tyus Jones.
The trade deadline hits Thursday afternoon.
