According to Michael Russo of The Athletic, Minnesota Wild forward Marcus Foligno is expected to be out “at least a few weeks” after sustaining an injury in Friday’s victory over the Arizona Coyotes.
Foligno was injured in the first period of Friday’s game when he took a shot off his skate from Jonas Brodin. Foligno limped off the ice and did not return.
Russo also reported that Foligno left the Xcel Energy Center on crutches and in a walking boot after the game.
Foligno’s injury comes as the 29-year-old is one point away from 200 in his career. Foligno was off to a great start for the Wild, recording seven goals and 16 points through 23 games.
