Jalen Reagor, drafted one pick ahead of Justin Jefferson in the 2020 NFL Draft, is the subject of trade calls the Minnesota Vikings are receiving, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport calls Reagor “a name to watch” as the Vikings “have received calls inquiring about the availability” of the 24-year-old wide receiver who was originally drafted by the Eagles and then traded to the Vikings last season.
A name to watch: The #Vikings have received calls inquiring about the availability of former first-round WR Jalen Reagor, source said. Minnesota traded for him about a year ago.

News of Reagor being the subject of trade inquiries is critical considering the Vikings have to trim the roster to 53 players by 3 p.m. CT today. Reagor is considered a bubble player who would be likely to make the team if the Vikings keep six wide receivers. If the Vikings go with five receivers, he’s could be cut.
Vikings definitely put Reagor on display during the preseason, was top ten in receptions and yards during the first half of preseason games https://t.co/6yoSAvIy6b

The five wide receivers expected to make the team are Justin Jefferson, K.J. Osborn, Jordan Addison, Brandon Powell and Jalen Nailor. Powell, who signed as a free agent earlier this year, is widely considered a better receiver and punt returner than Reagor, making the former TCU standout expendable.
Purple Insider’s Matthew Coller suggested Saturday, during Minnesota’s preseason finale against Arizona, that Reagor playing and Powell resting “could be interpreted as Powell being on the team and the Vikings looking for any buyers for Reagor.”
Jalen Reagor starting and Brandon Powell not playing could be interpreted as Powell being on the team and the Vikings looking for any buyers for Reagor but I dunno

On Sunday, the Vikings traded second year offensive tackle Vederian Lowe to the Patriots for a sixth-round pick. You can follow updated roster cuts here.
