The Minnesota Vikings have re-signed defensive tackle Fred Evans to a one-year deal, according to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio.
The 30-year-old played in 14 games last season and made 20 tackles. He’s tallied 97 tackles and three sacks as a backup during his seven-year career in the NFL. He was drafted by the Vikings in 2007.
KFAN’s A.J. Mansour says Evans will continue his role as a backup, serving as the second option behind newly signed nose tackle Linval Joseph.
