The Vikings play the Pittsburgh Steelers at Wembley Stadium in London in week four of the upcoming season, but it might not be the team’s only trip to London in the coming years.
Neil Reynolds of NFLUK.com reports that Vikings’ vice president of public affairs Lester Bagley hasn’t ruled out the possibility of Adrian Peterson and company playing “home” games in London in 2014 and 2015.
Before any decisions are made, Bagley and the Vikings want to see how this season’s game in England goes first.
But as Reynolds reports, the fact that Minnesota won’t be playing in their new stadium until 2016, the 2014 and 2015 seasons are “further opportunities” for the Vikings to help the NFL expand its product on a global level.
