Last week it was learned that Tarvaris Jackson is interested in reuniting with the Minnesota Vikings, now another former Viking is being mentioned as a potential free-agent acquisition for the Vikings.
ESPN’s Ben Goessling reports that quarterback Shaun Hill is “seriously interested” in signing with Minnesota. The 35-year-old played his rookie season with the Vikings in 2005. Since then he’s been a journeyman quarterback, playing for the 49ers (2007-2009), Lions (2010-2013) and Rams (2014).
He threw for 1,657 yards, 8 touchdowns and 7 interceptions in nine games (eight starts) with the Rams last season.
Source on Shaun Hill’s continued interest in Vikings, first reported Saturday “It’s a genuine one He’s got a real affinity for Coach Turner"

Any quarterback that comes to Minnesota will be a backup to second-year starter Teddy Bridgewater. Minnesota traded Matt Cassel to the Bills last week.
Hill’s best season came in 2010 with the Lions when he threw for more than 2,600 yards and 16 touchdowns in ten starts, the Pioneer Press notes.
Hoyer reportedly going to Houston. Sanchez back to Philly. QB options dwindling. Heard Vikings are still in contact with Shaun Hill's reps.
