It’s a state of flux for the Minnesota Vikings’ offense, namely the offensive coordinator job that is currently in the hands of Kevin Stefanski, albeit the word “interim” sits uncomfortably front of his job title.
Stefanski will reportedly interview for hte Cleveland Browns head coaching job on Monday. More on that right here. If the 36-year-old coach leaves the Vikings to be a head coach or offensive coordinator for another team, it’ll leave Mike Zimmer looking for his fifth offensive coordinator going into his sixth year as head coach.
One name to watch, according to NFL reporter Jason La Canfora, is former Browns head coach Hue Jackson, who has a relationship with Zimmer going back to their days with the Bengals.

Jackson was with the Bengals from 2012-15, and in his final season there he led the Bengals to the No. 7 offense in the NFL. He was then hired as head coach of the Browns and went 3-36-1 before getting fired this season.
Stefanski replaced John DeFilippo when he was fired on Dec. 11. DeFilippo replaced Pat Shurmer, who left his OC job with the Vikings to become head coach of the Giants. Shurmur took over for Norv Turner, who simply quit midway through the 2016 season.
