A suspension to a key big man on an otherwise height-limited team is not the way to start a new season of college basketball.
Unfortunately, that’s the case for the Golden Gophers men’s basketball team, which opens the season tonight against Lehigh at Williams Arena.
Multiple reports reveal that center Mo Walker has been suspended six games for violating team rules.

The release didn't specify reasons for Walker's suspension. The 6-10 junior just came off a 17-pt, 13-reb performance in exhibition finale.

On top of that, Wolfson is reporting that guard Wally Ellenson won’t play tonight as he works out an issue of his own.
