The Houston Rockets continued to dominate the Timberwolves Friday night when the Rockets beat the Wolves 120-110 in Houston.
Houston hurt Minnesota from the three-point line, the Rockets finished the game 20-of-44 from behind the arc – both numbers were single-game records for Wolves opponents.
James Harden was unstoppable, he led the way with 33 points and knocked down six threes himself. But Harden also dished out eight assists and had five steals on the night. Dwight Howard had a big night as well, finishing with 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting.
Josh Smith wasn’t going to be outdone either for Houston, he finished one rebound shy of a triple-double. Smith scored 16 points, while dishing out 11 assists and grabbed nine rebounds. Trevor Ariza and Jason Terry also contributed to the Rockets onslaught. Terry had 17 on 5-of-6 from the three-point line and Ariza chipped in 14 as he knocked down four more three’s.
The Wolves battled to stay in the game but couldn’t keep up. Andrew Wiggins scored 31 to lead the Wolves and again showed some flashes of brilliance.
