The Gophers added another asset to their backfield this morning, as Butler County Community College running back Kobe McCray confirmed his oral commitment to Golden Gophers via Twitter.

The Sophomore running back hails from Chipley, Florida, is listed at 6’1″ and 230 lbs, and has been rated as a 3-star recruit by 247Sports. At Butler CC he rushed for 1,190 yards and 22 touchdowns last year, and according to Yahoo, runs a 4.59 40-yard dash.
McCray joins two Gopher sophomore backs Rodney Smith and Shannon Brooks, as well as freshman Jonathan Femi-Cole and James Johannesson. According to the Pioneer Press, McCrary is the 19th recruit to commit to Minnesota, and National Signing Day is just over a week away on Feb. 3rd.
