He may not be racing down the sidelines for touchdowns any longer, but former Vikings wide receiver Randy Moss can still draw a crowd, especially in Minnesota.
Speedy, talented, often controversial, but still popular (among Vikings fans), the wide receiver who wore number 84 will be back in Minnesota to sign autographs at the Ridgedale FanHQ store on May 23rd at 5:30 p.m. – for $84.
The Star Tribune notes that Moss will also will also sign jerseys, footballs and game-used items for $118.
The store’s website says Moss is signing the autographs to raise money for Tyrone Carter’s TC Elite Training School and “will allow financially challenged Minnesota athletes the opportunity to attend Carter’s intensive football camps.” Donations are also being accepted.
Moss spent the first seven years of his career in a Vikings uniform (1998-2004). He returned for a much shorter second stint in 2010, lasting just four games, before being released.
He finished his career with 982 receptions for 15,292 yards and 156 touchdowns. But as fun as he was to watch on the field, Moss was equally entertaining off the field. Here is a YouTube montage put together by DJ Steve Porter when Moss returned to the Vikings.
