The busy interviewing season is upon us in the NFL, and the Vikings have added a third candidate to their list of interviewees to take Leslie Frazier’s now vacant head coaching post.
Cleveland Browns defensive coordinator Ray Horton, who has coached in the NFL for 19 years, is reportedly lined up for a Tuesday interview, according to Pro Football Talk.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that former Vikings and current Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell will interview this weekend.
Horton and Bevell join Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, who will reportedly interview with Minnesota tomorrow, and Arizona defensive coordinator Todd Bowles, who is expected to interview next week, as coaches with confirmed meetings with the team.
Depending on how Bowles interview with the Browns went today, the Vikings may never get a chance to talk to the former Dolphins interim coach, as Cleveland continues to look for a new head man with Rob Chudzinski fired on Black Monday.
Minnesota has already missed out on one candidate they reportedly talked to in December, former Penn State head coach Bill O’Brien, who agreed to take over the same position with the Texans earlier this week.
