The Minnesota Twins fell to the Toronto Blue Jays 5-1 on Monday afternoon at Rogers Center in Toronto.
David Price held the Twins to one run on three hits, while striking out 11 in his debut with the Blue Jays. He was traded from the Tigers before last week’s MLB trade deadline.
The Twins lone run, came on a solo shot from Torii Hunter in the top of the second inning.

At the time it gave the Twins a brief one run lead.
More importantly, though, the Twins surrendered their one-game lead on the Blue Jays in the Wild Card race. Minnesota and Toronto are now tied for the second Wild Card spot, just one game ahead of Baltimore.
Game two of the four-game series is Tuesday night.
