The Vikings enter the bye week remaining mostly unchanged in this week’s roundup of NFL power rankings.
Minnesota, despite losing 23-20 on the road to the Broncos, played well enough to (mostly) keep their position in the top half of the rankings. We’ll update these as they come in.
MMQB: #10, up one spot
“Watched a lot of the Vikings-Broncos game. Three thoughts: Teddy Bridgewater is good, in part because he’s unfraid of even the kind of relentless rush Denver poses for a quarterback. Adrian Peterson is back. And Anthony Barr is a dangerous, smart and instinctive force at linebacker. Not many linebackers can bait Peyton Manning, but Barr did on an interception.”
NFL.com: #11, no change from last week
“The Vikings hung tough in a game most didn’t give them a chance to win, thanks to some timely catches by youngster Stefon Diggs, a timely (and explosive) Adrian Peterson run and a reaaal timely read-and-react pick by Harrison Smith. What a play that was. So Vikings fans are disappointed with the loss, and Ragnar has parted ways with the organization, but 2-2 with an interconference loss is no big deal. If Mike Zimmer can push this roster to 10 wins, Sunday’s “L” won’t factor into tiebreakers.”
Yahoo Sports: #11, down one spot
“If the Vikings play as well as they did at Denver on Sunday, they’re going to win a lot of games against the teams that aren’t nearly as good as the Broncos.”
USA Today: #14, down five spots
“Back on top of the rushing charts, looks like Adrian Peterson is finally settling into Norv Turner’s offense.”
SB Nation: #14, down three spots

Pro Football Talk: #16, down three spots
“After the bye, 2-2 could quickly become 7-2.”
