Christian Ponder didn’t make it through the Purple’s game for the second consecutive week.
This time though, he wasn’t forced out of the game because of injury, he was taken out because of back-to-back interceptions in the fourth quarter.
Here’s what Ponder had to say to the media postgame.
“You’re not going to be able to win on the road against a team like that with so many turnovers. We were moving the ball up and down the field, but I made my mistakes in the second half. It’s a tough loss. Specifically from me, we need more.”
“Made a couple poor decisions, I’ll have to see the film.”
Do you know your status? “I don’t, that’s his (Coach Frazier’s) call, I want to be out on the field and redeem myself.”
“Everything we did and I did, is easily correctable, just tried to make plays that weren’t there and just gotta be smarter with the football. This was going to be a tough game, we knew that, it sucks, but we got a game next week.”
On the dislocated non-throwing shoulder: “It was fine.”
On Adrian Peterson: “We gotta keep running the football and keep giving the ball to him (Peterson), he’s making plays, and we have to take pressure off the running game by not turning the ball over in the passing game.”
On Greg Jennings absence: “We saw Jarius (Wright) step up and have a great game, but we definitely missed Greg.”
Here’s the entire presser if you’d like to hear, or look at, Christian for yourself.
