The Mississippi River acts as the border between arch rivals Minnesota and Wisconsin, and while everyone on the Minnesota side of the river gets to watch Vikings games, not all residents east of the river can say the same about the Packers.
There are a handful of counties in western Wisconsin that Fox and CBS air Vikings games rather than Packers, which is likely an intentional decision because there are undoubtedly more Vikings fans in those counties than Packers fans for the simple fact that it’s closer to the Minneapolis-St. Paul market than it is Green Bay.
It’s not rocket science, but now Vikings fans living as POWs (Prisoners of Wisconsin) are being threatened by Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.), who wants to monopolize TVs in Wisconsin by broadcasting nothing but Packers games.
Baldwin has authored the “Go Pack Go Act” with hopes of Congress passing it into law, thus eliminating Vikings games from Wisconsin TVs if they play at the same time and on the same station as the Packers.

Currently, TV providers broadcast Vikings games in Barron, Burnett, Dunn, Pierce, Polk, St. Croix and Washburn counties. The only time residents of those counties are subject to a bad defense and the guy from the State Farm commercials is when the Vikings play at a different time than the Packers.
Needless to say, those are hard days for the people who sacrificed their Minnesotan citizenship in an effort to improve an otherwise inferior state.
We don’t know how Congress would go about passing the Act, but for the sake of the thousands of right-minded folks living in counties under attack by Sen. Baldwin, let’s hope it never happens.
