Trevor Plouffe had a rough Tuesday night at the ballpark.
In the tenth inning Plouffe was hit by a 97 mile per hour fastball. A few minutes later he took a knee to the head trying to break up a double play ball at second base. He left the game and was later placed on the seven-day disabled list.
Michael Rand of the Star Tribune points out how similar the play Plouffe was concussed on was to the play that sidelined Justin Morneau with a concussion in 2010.
