In a one-on-one interview with NFL Network’s Michael Irvin, Adrian Peterson reiterated that he plans on playing in the Vikings’ season opener against Jacksonville. He also admitted the first portion of his recovery from a torn ACL was difficult. “Those first two weeks, to be honest … it was hell,” Peterson said. “Mentally, that was a blow for me.”
