Opening day of training camp.
On a day that’s naturally an all-Vikings affair, running back Adrian Peterson wants to prove he is all natural, too.
Addressing the media after the initial walk-through in Mankato, Peterson stated his objections to the speculation he has used performance enhancing drugs in the past.

He also flatly stated that human growth hormone (HGH) is used in the league, and testing will “bring a lot of people to light.”
The issue of HGH testing has come to the forefront of the NFL in recent months, with the league calling for immediate and sweeping testing for the performance enhancer.
Many players, including Minneapolis native Larry Fitzgerald, have been outspoken in support of the idea, and Peterson threw his weight behind it today as well.
Peterson told reporters that he “loves” the new policy, and can’t wait to get his blood drawn to end any speculation that he’s cheating.
In his words: “I’m as clean as a whistle.”
