Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was carted to the locker room in the first-half of Minnesota’s clash with Baltimore Sunday.
Peterson caught a pass out of the backfield in the second-quarter and ran towards the sideline, but his ankle was rolled on by a Ravens defender before he got out of bounds.
He remained down just out of the field of play, writhing in pain before being helped up by the Vikings training staff.
AP did not appear with the team when they came out for the second-half, and he will not be return to action after being taken to a nearby MRI facility, according to FOX Sports Jennifer Hale.
Fox TV report confirmed by @gregcoleman8 that AP has left stadium and is on way to have an MRI on right ankle. #Vikings
