The Wild have been battered all year by injuries, and Tuesday brought the most significant of the young season.
$100 million man Zach Parise took a shot off the foot last night while defending in Minnesota’s 3-0 loss to St. Louis, and word came from the Wild today that Parise will miss 2-3 weeks with a foot contusion.
The team reportedly thought the injury was more serious than it ended up being. Regardless the length of time, Parise said he is “really frustrated” by the news.
Parise leads Minnesota with 22 points, and a shuffling of lines or a roster move is expected after Wednesday morning’s skate.
