Winnipeg Jets 3
Minnesota Wild 1
The Minnesota Wild suffered their fifth loss in the past six games, as visiting Winnipeg jumped up 2-0 and held on late for the 3-1 victory. [Box score]
1) Zach Parise returns
Forward Zach Parise was activated off injured reserve and started, after missing more than three weeks recovering from an MCL injury. But the team’s second-leading scorer (7 goals, 2 assists in 12 games) couldn’t find the back of the net in his return.

2 ) Jets’ rookie goalie
A 22-year-old rookie named Connor Hellebuyck made his NHL debut starting in goal for the Jets. He stopped 14 of the Wild’s 15 shots to get the win.
3 ) Player hit in the face with a puck scores Wild’s lone goal
Minnesota got its first goal just past the midway point of the third period, when Ryan Carter (who earlier this week took a puck to the face during practice) shoved a rebound past Hellebuyck to make it 2-1.
